CaNetiq is the web-based, one-volunteer organization that maintains the Hot Peach Pages and AiR: Abuse iNFO & Resources on the internet

  • CaNetiq was created in 2002 to take over the development and maintenance of the Hot Peach Pages, which currently provides information on abuse in 82 languages, along with lists of abuse help agencies for 229 countries.

  • The Hot Peach Pages was developed and launched in 1999 by Virginia Fisher while she was Coordinator of PATHS, the Provincial Association of Transition Houses of Saskatchewan (Canada). When she left PATHS in 2002, she created CaNetiq as a web-based organization to continue to develop and maintain the Hot Peach Pages website.

  • An article about the conception, birth and development of the Hot Peach Pages web site, written in January 2003, is available in English and Français.

  • in January 2005, CaNetiq also developed Abuse iNFO & Resources, which it continues to maintain.

  • Since the 1999 launch of the Hot Peach Pages, suggestions for links to agencies and language resources have come in from all over the world.
